Duke home tour: our patio

If there's one thing I have realized while being quarantined for almost two months, it's that a good outdoor space is crucial to a healthy mental mindset. Over the past 6 weeks Duke and I have loved getting outside, and having a space to enjoy the Spring weather has really helped us during our time at home.

It's ironic because we JUST bought all this new patio furniture in late February while Target was having a sale. We went back and forth on whether or not we needed new furniture for our patio and I am SO glad we decided to do it. The only thing that's missing right now is our plants. I love filling our planters with colorful flowers for the spring and summer but we haven't been able to go to Lowe's or Home Depot yet. I am hopeful that soon things will start to open back up and Duke can make a trip for us but right now buying plants isn't a necessity to us.

Whether you have a large patio or a small balcony, I encourage you to add a little something so you can enjoy some time outdoors. I am honestly not even a big outdoor person but during this time, getting fresh air and feeling the sun on my skin has been therapeutic in a way. So whether it be furniture, a bird feeder, a plant, a hammock - add something you enjoy that will allow you to spend some time outside.

I have linked our furniture below. The majority of our furniture is the Southport line by Opalhouse. Everything is from Target but some other places we like to get outdoor furniture from are: Lowe's, Home Depot, Wayfair, etc. Let me know if you have any questions! Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying a cup of my half caff coffee in my egg chair. What's your favorite thing to do outdoors?

All my love,

Annemarie
